Unique Triathlon Event, ‘Tri-Fest’, Launches in the UK in Partnership with Jaguar
Jaguar is the headline partner of Tri-Fest, a new UK triathlon event that combines sport, food and music to guests of all ages. Tri-Fest will take place from 20th to 21st July 2019 at Dorney Lake, an iconic facility that boasts a world-class Triathlon course and race facilities.
Several Triathlon races will take place over the course of the weekend, with individual, team and children’s events on offer. Tri-Fest organisers are catering for competitors of all ages and abilities, and will be creating a genuine festival atmosphere with a range of additional activities.
Alongside Olympic, Sprint and Super Sprint Triathlon distances, there will be a live music stage, a champagne garden and glamping facilities. Jaguar will also be offering a range of dynamic driving experiences in some of its latest models.
Tri-Fest is the first festival of its kind in the UK, looking to build on a national trend for fitness and wellbeing. The concept was developed between partners Chad James, David Paton and John Lunt, who saw a gap in the market for a more active weekend festival occasion. By uniquely mixing the UK staples of sport, food and music, the Tri-Fest organisers will create a truly special event that stands out over the summer.
Speaking about the festival, David Paton, Co-Founder said: “We’re very excited to announce Tri-Fest with our headline sponsor Jaguar. I’ve helped organise many sporting events and I think there’s a wonderful opportunity to offer fitness enthusiasts and triathletes a new sort of race experience. I also think there’s a big opportunity to encourage people who aren’t usually active to sample something different and challenge themselves with friends and family, without the competition, while having fun.
“Tri-Fest is about celebrating Triathlons but also about creating a festival experience around it, with music, food and drinks, and lots of events in-between. We want racers to bring their friends and family and to celebrate the weekend, rather than just turning up and going home after the race. We’ve secured a wonderful location and we’re busy behind the scenes working with lots of different partners to offer attendees something truly memorable.”
